When you’re a kid, treats look like ice cream, candy, and presents. When you’re an adult, treats look like time alone, a steamy cup of coffee, and a hot bath. Also a clean house, kids that obey, a pair of matching socks that are actually clean, I could go on forever.
Last May when I said, “All I want for Mother’s Day is for our living room trim to finally get painted” my kids thought that was the most boring gift of all time. For me though? Beautiful. Glorious. Perfection.
It is this mindset that leads us to appreciate a nice razor and a smooth leg. I shared about Rose’s Razors a couple weeks ago, and I’ve heard great feedback from those who already took advantage of their discount and free shipping offer.
Here’s what Kim K. said about Rose’s Razors:
OK Ladies. I’ve tried them now and all I can say is “wow!” I am impressed. First of all, shipping was FAST. Ordered on 10/13 and received on 10/17. I opened them right away and was MAJORLY impressed by the quality. I have been buying middle grade razors so I wasn’t expecting anything better than that. Boy, was I wrong. This is a REAL razor. The handle is metal and solid. Very impressive. So, I took my shower this morning and had a wonderful shaving experience. Who knew that shaving could be an experience?? The handle feels great in my hand. The razor gives a really good, close shave. I feel like I indulged in a real treat without even meaning to. I am so glad I jumped and purchased and I don’t think I’ll be looking back!!
I wanted to make sure you all saw her comment to confirm that it’s not just me. :)
Razors and me? I haven’t cared that much and I’ve pitifully cut my way through three decades, mostly because I didn’t want to do anything frivolous and actually spend money on a razor.
You guys. Rose’s Razors aren’t even expensive!! Yet they are fabulous and real and so, so good. Kim’s not looking back, I’m not looking back, you won’t look back.

I use Dollar Shave Club razors. I’d love to hear from someone who has used both and what they think about how they compare?!?
Thanks.

Hi Karen,
It’s Jay, the Co-Founder of Rose’s. I’d be happy to give you my quick comparison of the two (only looking at the premium option from DSC) but do know that I might be slightly biased ;) !
First off, one of the complaints with the DSC razors is that the attachment point is rather small and so it’s easy to break the connector if you don’t shave very carefully. Our is much more robust because we know women shave in the shower and are generally under quite a bit of time pressure. We haven’t heard of one of ours breaking yet so that’s something.
Second, we have a great little edging blade on the top side of the razor that really helps to keep lines clean. I use this to keep my sideburns nicely trimmed, but I hear it helps with other areas as well from my Wife.
Third, we have a more pronounced ‘whale tail’ at the end of the handle. We did this purposefully because women need to hold the tip of the razors when shaving their legs while maintaining a lot of control. This is not something that men do and that’s why razors from either of the two big men’s services don’t really have this design feature.
I apologize for the lengthy reply but I hope this illustrates some of the key differences between the two. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out ([email protected]) and we will make sure your question gets answered promptly!
thanks,
Jay – Rose’s Razors

I haven’t used Dollar Shave Club , but I have tried Dorco razors. I have heard that the Club’s razors come from Dorco. I thought the 6-blade ones that I tried were really good, comparable to Venus. I’ve just started using Rose’s and it’s the best I’ve EVER tried. This is probably TMI, but I’ve never been able to get a completely smooth shave on my right armpit until now, with Rose’s. I’m definitely sold!

I ordered the Rose’s Razors after your first post (thanks for the coupon!), and I really like them. I had gotten a Schick Hydro as a free samples and it was amazing, but the replacement heads are like $20-something!! Also, they’re behind a locked case at my very sketchy WalMart. No, thanks.
So, I was just limping along with whatever other cheap-y ones I had until I saw your post. The Rose’s Razors are a really great value, and they shave very nicely. I think almost as nicely as the Hydro, although I don’t have a new one for a true side-by-side comparison.
Also, I’m pregnant, so I’ve been more prone to nicking myself because I can’t reach my legs all that well, and the Rose’s Razors did a great job – no cuts!
I also liked the fancy packaging on the Rose’s Razors. I don’t NEED something like that to enjoy a product, but it was a nice touch that made it feel like a real luxury.
Anyway, I just thought I would chime in to back you up. I have no stake in saying that I really like Rose’s Razors and will almost certainly be ordering from them again. Thanks for letting us know about them!

Hey Deb!
Thank you so much for the kind words! We are really happy you love them and promise to continue to put in extra effort to keep your business. Hopefully, you will leave a nice review on the site as well, and while you’re there, keep an eye out for our new products! They should be hitting the site just in time for Christmas this year.
Thanks!
