Gratituesday: This and That

gratituesday[2]

I couldn’t come up with any one thing to write about today, so I decided to share several things I’m thankful for:

~ A week of down time.

Basketball season ended, spring soccer season hasn’t started yet. I’d go into detail about how lovely it is to have several nights off all in one week, but I’m too busy enjoying the (relatively) empty calendar.

~ Boys who are creative and fun.

I just went to check on the kids, and they are all working together to create music and put together a new video. I love watching them (not argue while they are) having fun together and using their talents.

~ My Amazon Subscribe and Save order came today.

We got to unpack big boxes, then I got to stare at my bulk purchases for a while and get them all organized. It was super fun.

~  Our basketball award night is Tuesday night.

This is always such a wonderfully fun night. We eat together, give awards to the athletes, then play young sibling vs. young sibling, Moms vs. Daughters, and Dads vs. Sons basketball games. I’ve been talking to my muscles, trying to prepare them for doing what they aren’t used to doing. I hope they’re listening.

~ A variety of food

I just love food. I’m so thankful God blessed us with such great variety. I do not take it for granted that we are so privileged to have such bounty.

Now your turn. Share what you’re thankful for!  Leave a comment on this post letting us know how God is working in your life. If you’ve written a blog post about what you’re thankful for, leave the link in the comments so we can visit your blog to read about it. We love sharing and reading about God’s blessings!

It’s spring! Maybe that’s what I’m most thankful for. We’ve been writing lately about 1 Peter and it’s a tough read. I found a lot to challenge me and not a lot to be “thankful” for. But maybe that’s the key, I’m thankful that God’s word continues to confront and change me!

Thankful for my daughter able to go see our state capital(they only pick 13 kids and you have to write an essay why you should be pick) Also, thankful that she got a part in play. The next month for her will be busy.

I thought of it way too late, after everything was put away! What was I thinking?! I’ll make a point of taking a picture and showing it next month. Much of it was items I had shared through the month here of good deals I’d found, plus I got a box of diapers for my friend. :)

Hi Laura, I have a few questions about collecting the 5+ orders for the month. When you buy subscribe and save items and clip the coupons and order throughout the month, by the time the order ships at the end of the month the prices have often changed, do you still get the deals and price on the day you ordered? Thanks, Marie

You lock in the price with coupon the moment you order. So even if the coupon expires and the price goes up before your order is sent out, you still get your great deal from the day you placed the order!

I am thankful for courage and standing tough and friends who prayed me through a very hard situation with the prison release program that I am working with. Sometimes the best way to love these women is to say no. They do not know that it hurts me way more than it hurts them,

Huge prayers for you, Lana. I cannot imagine the situation you are faced with on a regular basis. The only thing I can relate is as being a parent and having to discipline my teenagers.

I am thankful for 1) my kiddos; 2) it…is…SPRING, can I get an amen; 3) the knowledge I have to make repairs around my house instead of calling a repair man or replacing things, and 4) lack of sense when I don’t have that knowledge and try anyway. I am clueless to the fact that I may not know what I am doing until I try. It usually turns out though.

Thanks. My now grown children were so much easier than this. It is painful to watch adults destroy their lives.

I love it when so many things come to mind to be thankful for. :) Today I’m thankful we found a new congregation to be part of. http://dottieslifeathome.blogspot.com/2014/03/gratituesday-reconnecting.html

I’m really thankful for my husband and our marriage. We celebrated our eleventh anniversary on Friday, and were able to enjoy a long weekend as a family. It was truly a blessing!

I have been guilty of focusing on the negative and unknown lately……not like me at all. This was my 2nd reminder to get back to joy and thankfulness….here’s my post….

I wrote this back in February and have been meaning to share it here (the Tuesdays keep passing me by!). The struggle to remain thankful is still there, so I figured it would be alright to share this with you all now. :-)
