Gratituesday: Just What We Needed

gratituesday[2]

I have been craving sunshine like crazy! Maybe you can relate? Those of us who live in colder areas have been deprived of warm rays and Vitamin D for quite a few months. Just about the time I thought I might go stir crazy for lack of sunshine – God gave us a hint of summer!

It hit the 70’s outside both yesterday and today. We opened up our door and curtains, brightening up our house with sunshine. We set up a table outside to eat our meals. We took our math book and read-alouds outside. We put on shorts and short sleeved shirts to get as much sun on our skin as possible. We pretty much didn’t come into the house all afternoon. The warm weather and sunshine was too hard to resist.

Tonight we fired up the grill to make Italian Chicken (Let’s Do This eCourse, Lesson 1  ). Mmm, that grill and the chicken smelled so good! Don’t worry, that little chunk of chicken you see on my plate was just my first helping. :)  —>

The entire day was glorious. It was just what we needed. Maybe, just maybe, we can all survive the remaining few weeks of crazy winter-to-spring weather. Praise God for sunshine!

Now your turn. Share what you’re thankful for!  Leave a comment on this post letting us know how God is working in your life. If you’ve written a blog post about what you’re thankful for, leave the link in the comments so we can visit your blog to read about it. We love sharing and reading about God’s blessings!

The sun is shining here too, so we’ve gone out without our coats to play for three days running. Can’t beat it. As for what I’m thankful for, I’m thankful that our Savior set us such a great example of how to act when things are good and when we are suffering.

The sun is also shining here in Northern Ireland for which I am very thankful.

I am also thankful for God wanting to talk to me and listen to me.

I never tire of the lessons the LORD is teaching me. Counting everything all joy is one of them.

The 70’s! You’re so blessed. I thought we had it pretty good at 43° yesterday. We took walks, played outside in the puddles, and even took the little red wagon out for a spin. Tonight they are calling for 4-6 inches of snow again, but it was a nice little Spring tease.

Thankful for the Beautiful sun as well!
We finished up our school day before lunch, my kids are 3 & 5.
Spent the rest of the day pretending to be Lego characters from the new Lego movie. Our jungle gym was our boat, my oldest decided to be Pirate Iron Beard, my youngest was Emmit and I was given the title of Wild Style! It is truly amazing watching their imaginations run wild! Snacks and dinner was served on our boat. While I cleaned up the kitchen the boys had mud and dirt fights, drove trucks, and used a snow shovel to cover the slide and bottom landing in dirt. I now need to scrub the tub!! What a good feeling!

I’m thankful as well for the wonderful weather. We’ll approach 80 here today (so they say), and I’m enjoying the weather shift. The Spring garden is all in place, and I’m basking in the daily visit to water the seeds and seedlings. I thank God for the blessing and joy of the changing seasons. Wouldn’t it be boring to be the same all year round?

Last week my kids and I were all sick, and it was very tough trying to manage work and sick kids.(I work full time mom and have a 5 year old and a 1 year old) I am so thankful for my mom and dad who love near us and helped me out so much last week when the kids were sick and then I was. My mom did our laundry and kept the kitchen cleaned up and made us some meals. Dad went to the store for us and brought us what we needed. I’m also thankful for a comfy bed and warm shower to bring comfort when I’m sick and everyday- so many people don’t have those comforts, and I am grateful for them every morning and every night.

Thankful as well for the nice weather we’ve had in GA. It’s so satisfying to be able to see my kids playing outside. I’m thankful I have the ability to stay home and watch them grow.

My dear grandmother passed away 6 years ago today and I’m so thankful to God for giving me such a wonderful woman in my life.

I am thankful today for the beautiful weather! It may be very cold again Thursday but today is awesome and we are going to be outside enjoying it. Quick question, what is that side that you have with your chicken and peas? It looks delicious and wondering if the recipe is on here. Thank you!

We have been looking for a good used (affordable) freezer. Yesterday, I found one right down the street from our house, and we bought it 1/3 of the way full of meat. I am so thankful that we waited until THIS freezer came along. We were able to help the people who needed to sell it so they can move, and we will be able to bless others with the gift of food. God is so good.
