Loved what you wrote! So true that we can look at others and think they have it all together instead of focusing on the individual strengths God has given us. You are such a blessing to so many Laura!

How exciting! I know I don’t have to be all things, but is it too much to hope that I can grow and preserve food for my family without the whole garden getting eaten? It was a discouraging year. But you give me things to aspire to (in a good way ;) )!

Awesome piece! You’ve helped me become good at many things with your simple approach. Thanks for sharing with us daily. Just being a mom is great, and requires greatness, not super powers!

I like that a lot. Just today I had a visit with a friend of mine. For a long time we hesitated deepening our relationship. I was in awe of her incredibly tidy home and put together appearance. She was in awe of my do it from scratch mentality. Once we got past our mutual intimidation we found kindred spirits in one another! And we have inspired and encouraged one another in so many ways. My house is tidier and she bakes bread. It’s a win-win and our husbands both love it!

Your little post on their blog rings so true. I thought you were describing me! I could have totally written that second paragraph! glad I’m not the only one with a pile of clothes on the chair in my bedroom and a dirty minivan to boot! ….And everything else you said. I even have the 4 boys. Thanks for your blog and encouragement.

Now I know what I’ve been missing: a cape! The trouble is, no one, I mean no one, considers me a super mom. (OK, maybe my husband, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him.) This was a well-written, concise slap along-side the head that I needed. Congratulations, Laura, on your published piece.
