Shelf Reliance – Thrive Food Giveaway!

By Laura · Mar,27 2011

As I mentioned in my menu plan post, I’ve got a bunch of giveaways for you this week!  I’m excited to launch this series with a fun giveaway from Tracy at Shelf Reliance!

Ever been to a Shelf Reliance party?  I had no idea what to expect when I was first invited to one.  But…it had to do with food, so I was all over it!  It didn’t take me long to really fall in love with the idea that Shelf Reliance was promoting.

Shelf Reliance carries a huge line of Thrive Food.  This is food that has been freeze dried at it’s freshest point, preserving all the nutrients.  Then it is vacuum sealed, making it stay good and usable for years!

Experience Freeze Dried Food for Everyday Cooking

Sound…interesting?  Different?  You can read more about their food here, but also, let me explain a little bit more.

Take the Thrive Food mushrooms for example (because this is by far my favorite product of theirs!).  I can buy fresh mushroom from the store and it will take exactly 1.3 days for those mushrooms to get slimy and fuzzy.  Therefore, I almost never buy fresh mushrooms or have them on hand when I want to throw together a pizza or a stroganoff.

But, with the Thrive Food, all I have to do is get out my can of freeze-dried mushrooms, re-hydrate a cup full of mushrooms and I’m good to go.  Takes me about four minutes!  I bought a big ol’ can of these mushrooms and they are lasting me a LONG time.

That’s the other cool thing about Thrive Food.  Their prices are really great.  I paid around $17 for a 10 pound can.  Do you know how many mushrooms fit into a 10 pound can?  That $17 is going to last me for several months!

By purchasing directly through Tracy’s link at Shelf Reliance, you’ll automatically receive a sale price of 7-17% off regular prices!  This makes a good deal on food an even better deal!

I also want to emphasize the work from home opportunity you can have with Shelf Reliance!!!  If you’ve been looking for something you can do to earn some extra money for your family, I strongly encourage you to click over to the “Join Team” page and see what it’s all about.  Tracy is a friend of mine, so I can give you  my personal recommendation that this is a good business and that Tracy is someone you can trust.

Okay…now the giveaway!  Besides their mushrooms…I LOVE all of their freeze-dried fruit.  I bought a can of their freeze dried blueberries and WOW are they good.  We eat them just as they are for a snack…or we throw them into pancakes and waffles…we make them into a syrup…we rehydrated them and add them to smoothies.  Again, the price is amazing for high quality blueberries.

If you want blueberries…you’ll have to buy your own (what a tease…I  know).  BUT, Tracy has a Pantry Sized Can of Raspberries to give away to one of you this week!!  I’ve tried them….you’ll LOVE them!!

If you’re interested in being entered in this giveaway, leave a comment here on this post.  For a second entry (and please leave a second comment here letting me know you did this!), you can join Tracy’s Shelf Reliance Facebook Page.  (You’ll see her facebook link right on the homepage of her site.)

I’ll draw a random winner for this giveaway on Thursday, March 31.

This giveaway is closed…thank you!

  28. I just came across this.
Is there any way to find local sellers from the site? It sounds very interesting but I’d sure like to be able to taste the food and see it myself before I got into it.
