Saving Money Online – Healthy Deals + New Azure Standard Drop-Points
By
~ If you’ve read here much, you know how much I love my health food co-op: Azure Standard! Jeanette, with Covenant Ranch Trucking (delivering for Azure Standard) just let me know that they are expanding their routes and would love to hear from those who want an Azure Delivery to their community. They currently deliver to: CO, NM, OK, KS AR, MO, TX, IA, IL, IN, LA, KY, TN, north west part of MS (and are adding new drops within these states very soon). They are looking to expand to: WI, MI, and OH – and also just took over the Denver CO area for Azure and would love to add some new drops there! If any of those locations fit you, don’t hesitate to contact Jeanette to learn more. (Be sure to check out this post to learn about additional routes.)

~ Our family has benefited greatly from our Rosetta Stone investment. I love how well our boys are learning Spanish with this software! Amazon has their Latin American Spanish set of 1-5 discounted to $399.20 right now. Sounds like a lot, I know – but this is a great discount, especially compared to buying each CD individually. If you want to learn a new language – Rosetta Stone is the way to go!
~ Get a 48-count variety pack of Stretch Island Fruit Leather for just $17.69 with free shipping.
~ Remember the sucanat deal I told you about last week? I ordered two cases (because I had some credit, because I love saving money by buying in bulk, and because now I won’t have to think about ordering sucanat for a long time). My big box came a few days ago! I filled my jar, and put the rest in storage. This price is still good: Get six 24-ounce bags of Rapunzel Pure Organic Whole Cane Sugar for $29.12 with subscribe and save.

We need Asure to stretch their delivery route just a little further to VA!! I’ve been waiting… Thanks for the post :)

I just wanted to put that I think the deal on azure standard is better for Sucanat. 25lb for $60. When I think amazon works out to about 9lb for $30? If I did my math right.

Yes, that is a much better deal! Thanks for pointing it out. :) I’m just not always happy with the flavor of that particular sucanat, and I always love the mild flavor of this Rapunzel brand that I shared in the post. :)

I’ve noticed that the texture and flavor are both better with the Rapunzel brand. I found the wholesome sweeteners to be too large a granual making it difficult to bake with. I have greater success with the other. Thanks for passing on this great deal!

Oh, I was hoping you’d say that they’re going to deliver to VA now! I’ve been drooling over Azure for so long, but I guess I’ll just have to keep waiting. :-(

I’m ready for Azure to come to AL! I really want that sucanat deal but it’s just not in the budget right now. BOO!

I am so excited they are considering WI! Will be calling them tomorrow or Mon. for sure! Just had a couple of questions. On the sucanat deal it would be about $4.85/lb correct? In your whole food resource list you mention $2.50/lb being a good price so just wondering if you switched brands since then or have prices gone up or what? I’d like to get some, but as we are on a very tight budget and have a bag of sugar left I’d like to get the best price I can and am wondering if this is it or not. Thank you! Oh and Azure standard has the red beans on sale, but they are quite a bit more than $1/lb so again was wondering has the price gone up or should I wait for a sale. Well I can’t order from them yet anyway I guess, but hoping soon. So appreciate you alerting us to these healthy deals!

Good point about this sucanat being more expensive (although I’m calculating it at $3.23/pound). I have just found that when I order other brands of sucanat, I’m often disappointed with the flavor. Everytime I order Rapunzel, it tastes mild and perfect, so I’ve switched to that brand. :)

Thanks! You are correct that it is $3.23/lb. Math never was my best subject ;) Well I think I’ll get this brand too because I feel the switch might be a bit tricky and I want to get a ood one veryone likes.

Yes, it will stay good for months (years?) :)

I don’t know if you were referencing the trucking company alone, but Azure also delivers to Arizona (yay for me!)

Yep, just the trucking company that is expanding. The additional link in the post details all of the routes Azure delivers to, including we Nebraskans! :)

I wish we could have an Azure Standard drop near me, but I live in such a rural area that it’s not even an option :-( I had quite an adventure trying to find wheat berries for my baking…let’s just say I’m learning about all the differences between types of wheat. (http://kansaslife.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/wheat-tortillas-and-why-whole-foods-needs-better-bags/)
Maybe someday we’ll have enough interest around here for a drop point!
