I buy Grade A Dark Amber maple syrup at Target for 13.99 when they have it on ‘Price Cut’. Is this type of maple syrup good? Am I missing something? My price is cheaper than the deal in this post so I was having syrup insecurities and wondering if Grade A was inferior or something. :)

Grade b is better. It’s darker and therefore has more nutrients. I have always been told the darker and higher grade the better.

I do prefer Grade B because it has more nutrients, but your Grade A is still a better choice than processed maple flavored syrup. :)

Hi Laura! While checking out that maple syrup, I noticed there was an Anderson’s grade B for $16.39. Has anyone tried that brand? Not wanting anyone to be disparaging here; perhaps it would be be okay to just say, “we prefer something else” if it’s not to your liking. (; Thanks!

I havenot tried that brand, but I’ve heard from several others that they have not liked Anderson’s syrup. They said it is not as flavorful and that it is runnier than they prefer. So, since more than one or two told me that, I’ve decided to stay away from it so that we’re not all disappointed!

Maple syrup is being made here in Maine now as the days are a bit warmer and the nights are crispy cold. I love the cup you have in the photo Laura!
