My experience with coconut water is that it’s delicious and I want everybody else to stop drinking it so there will be plenty for me.

My local Costco is now carrying coconut water too. I saw it, but I was in a rush so I can’t remember the brand. It was one of the main ones that I see at the Health Food Stores, though.

Laura, why not make coconut water concoctions one of your focal points for the new year? I’ve heard so much about it, but have not had the time to investigate further…. I’m busy with 8 children (5 boys!), kombucha, dairy kefir, water kefir, and all kinds of vegetable ferments…. perhaps you could make some time in between all your boys and meals, and investigations and blog posts, and soccer games, and ….. well, we’ll just see who gets to it first!
Thanks so much for your wonderful posts. Not only do you inform so clearly and encouragingly, but your humor really tickles our collective funny bone. My daughters always get such a kick out of you: : “Mommy, Mrs. Heavenly Homemaker has a great recipe for ….. and you should read what she wrote about….. it’s so funny!” Thank you so much…. my kitchen typically boasts at least 2-3 of your recipes a week. I am grateful to the Lord for you and your willingness to share your wisdom.
    Blessings,
    Lisa H.

  4. My husband and I think coconut water tastes okay, but the kids love it. Here in the desert, we drink coconut water in the summer when it’s so hot and we’ve been out working or playing hard, so basically we use it as a sports drink that’s actually good for us.

The Natural Value Yellowfin Tuna is $36.50 for 24 cans through Azure Standard.

Good, even better! Thankfully the Amazon deal is still pretty decent for those that don’t have Azure as an option. Mabye I’ll go put that into my Azure cart while I’m thinking about it. :)

I keep coconut water on hand for illnesses. I use it as an electrolyte balancing drink instead of pedialyte for the kids and for us grown ups too. It’s very soothing when nothing else will stay down! I know it’s really good for you, so I don’t know why we haven’t used it as more of a regular drink as well. Thanks for the reminder!

I love coconut water! I buy coconuts all the time and use the water from those for smoothies. I use the bottled coconut water in the same way. It’s also good just to drink on a really hot day. Very refreshing.

I drank coconut water straight from coconuts when I traveled to Guyana s America and st Lucia. So good! The bottled stuff doesn’t really compare but it’s good as long as u get it pulp free!
I LOVE Giovanni shampoo and conditioner! I found a great deal on it at my local tjmaxx a couple months ago.

I LOVE coconut water just to drink. At a farmer’s market when I was doing a juice only fast a friend had them break open the top of a green coconut and put a straw in it for me. That was my first experience with it and I fell in love. I’ve since purchased the coconut water in the store and have found it to be exactly the same as what I got out of the coconut. I’ve only tried one brand of it though. I’ve never used it to cook or in health and beauty products but think very highly of it! :)

I add coconut water to my daily green smoothies! We’re not much on Shrek movies, but of course my kids know who they are, so I call them Shrek smoothies :-) Mango and tons of raw spinach.

do you happen to know what the differences were in coconut waters? Dr Oz did some stuff on how they have different amounts of the “stuff’ you buy it especially for. can’t really remember but they named one or two that were the best.

I found an article about it and it’s Zico brand. I HAS what it says on
the label and others don’t. Just an FYI

Giovanni shampoos (most often 50/50 or Tea Tree Triple) are at TJ Maxx periodically. $12.99 for 33.8 ounces. Half the price of the gallon on Amazon. I buy a couple of bottles at a time, and then wait until I start the last bottle to start paying attention again.
