~ I am really excited about this good deal on Now Foods Organic Sucanat from iHerb! They have taken 11% off their regular price, which is very nice. But if you are a new customer to iHerb and enter my referral code: BID487 at checkout, you can receive either $10 off a purchase of $40 or more – or $5 off any purchase under $40. Plus free 2- 8 day shipping on orders $20 or greater. Great savings!
~ Many of you asked about where I get my glass dishes and jars for storing leftovers and other foods. Here is my favorite Pyrex dish set from Amazon. It contains perfect sizes and shapes for a variety of needs! And if you just want to go all out instead of adding to your glass collection gradually, this Pyrex set makes me drool. :) I love that Pyrex is safe for freezing, baking, storing, and it is dishwasher safe too.

~ Get 12 – 8 ounce bags of Let’s Do Organic Shredded, Unsweetened Coconut for $22.52 at Amazon with subscribe and save. Think of all the chewy granola bars, granola, and other great treats you could make!

Walmart also carries Pyrex glass storage containers but with red lids. We use them for leftovers and in lunches for grown-ups. You can freeze and heat in the same container. They come in sets or in individual pieces so you can purchase just what works for your family as your budget allows.

JC Penny also has had Pyrex as a black Friday deal for very little after a rebate several years in a row. We bought two or three sets this way, but last year I had a brand new baby, and the year before that I was on bedrest, so I’m not sure if that’s not something they do pretty regularly anymore, but it’s worth checking out … it’s not THAT far away ;)

Thanks for the heads up on the coconut deal at Amazon! I definitely had to take advantage of that, it’s a much better price than I get at Whole Foods.

I have 2 sets of glass storage containers. One is pyrex, the other is some Martha Stewart set from K-mart. I got them both on the same day. The glass for each is fine, but the pyrex lids are the only ones not held together by duck tape :(

If you live near a Corning Revere outlet store, they have amazing deals on Pyrex near the holidays. We’ve gotten several sets and some for gifts the last few years.

It should be noted that the free shipping from iHerb is only good for orders that weigh under 10#. I spent $40 to get the $10 off coupon and my order was too heavy for the free shipping. I may not order because of this.

on the pyrex, I don’t know if the brands make a difference, but there is one called Anchor Hocking at ShopKo (if you have one near you) that is 12 or 18pc(can’t quite remember which number) with lids that goes on sale about twice a year for $12.88-they have been a huge blessing, but you do have to refrain from putting the lids in the dishwasher as they will shrink. :)

Oh, my pyrex collection is getting slim. Thanks for the tip!

Went to Walmart last p.m. and bought mucho glass pyrex containers with lids. Was going to buy from Amazon, but the shipping was killer. Also invested in Ball canning jars for storage and freezing.

Checked out the iherb sucanat. I’m pulling from my memory…which could be dangerous….but did you say it should be dehydrated?? The sucanat listed on iherb says evaporated. Is that what you use?:)Ive been trying to find the “right” sugar, and haven’t ordered sucanat yet. Just want to make sure I order the right thing. Thanks so much!

Yes, I have said that before. Sucanat packages frustrate me because they are confusing with their words. I checked out that brand and believe it to be “the good stuff”.
