I love summer salads, summer fruits and swimming. We're freezing here now, so I feel warmed up just reading my favourite USA blogs.

Hmm, it used to be softball, sandy beaches and the lake, rereading the Little House books, and warm evenings with friends. Now, it's taking the little one to ride in the tractor with hubby, and splashing in a bit of water outside. Then and now, sweet corn - freshly picked, quickly husked and cooked, and dripping with butter and a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Air conditioning, and lots of good books. Summer reading challenges at the Library. Shorts and flip flops. Banana Splits, Homemade Ice Cream (Peach or Strawberry!). Family reunion with the Trail Mix we all help make. (only two of us demand that it must have raisins, the rest think not)
