How old are you? Question #59
ByI love learning more about you, my awesome readers. I love learning who likes coffee and who doesn’t…I love learning whether you open Christmas presents on Christmas Eve or on Christmas morning…I love learning whether or not you have gas.
What I’m curious about today are the various generations of people I’m talking to here. I promise to never, ever ask about your weight. But today, I’d really like to know how old you are.
I never mind telling people my age. I’m 36 by the way. Yep…40 is creeping in on me.
So there…I told you. Now you tell me.
I would LOVE for you to leave a comment with the specifics of your age (36 years, 6 months and 15 days if you really must know). But just in case some of you aren’t comfortable sharing publicly…
I thought maybe putting up a poll would be helpful. Just click on your age group and no one knows who clicked what. It just gives me an idea of who all is hanging out here, you know?
I must say, you LOOK really young. I never would have guessed your age just by looking at you.
Okay, share both in the comments and on the poll if you’re comfortable with it…but at least click on the poll.
Thanks!

I am 40 and have no idea how I got to be this old! Wasn’t I a teenager just a few years ago?! Seems like once you have kids, the years just whiz by…

Laura, dear, trust me…I will be 40 on Tuesday. I can assure you that it does not creep up on you, but comes at you at lightning speed and jumps on you when you’re not looking! LOL!

I’m gutted that I’m not in the group with the highest number of readers! *ROFL*
I have real trouble keeping track of my age these days; is that an ‘it’s my age thing’?
I’m 46 years 3 months 23 days. I have no idea how I got to this age. I can still remember my youth as if it was yesterday and my kids, they used to be little now they are taller than me;-D

Janet, congratulations on the new little bundle! You must be a very busy woman! I have a 4 yr old boy an almost 2 yr old girl and another one due in late April. My current two keep me very busy but hbut I’m hoping that adding one more won’t change that too much. :)

Hi Laura,
I am a new reader of your blog so this is my first question. How fun! I am 34 years old, will be 35 in less than 5 months. Feels weird to really think about that number. The funny thing about getting older is you really don’t FEEL older. Wiser maybe, but not older :)
[Reply]
I am 52 yrs, 3 weeks old. I’m a mother of 3 2 girls and 1 boy (whom passed away 22 months ago), and a step-mother of a boy and girl. I’m also a grandmother of 6 4 girls and 2 boys. The grand children range in age from 10 yrs to 1 yr old, and “the children”(adults) range in age from 34 to 29 yrs of age. Oh, my DH is also 52 years old also.
I love reading your Blog as well as other Christian Blogs…and I’n a BIG fan of all the recipies as I’m a trained Chef, and am currently training for a speciality in Breads and pastries and also have my degree in Nutrition.

I’m going to be 50 in June, so I checked 50-59. :)
One of your older readers, but I love your blog, love reading about what younger moms are doing “these days”, love trying out your recipes and so proud that you have gotten on the healthy track with your family earlier than I did!
Keep up the good work. And thanks for the compliment. I really don’t look almost 50, do I? lol

I am 27 years, 9 months old (or will be tomorrow).

I’ll be 67 in May. When I get together with friends from high school, I feel like I am 18 again. Then I look in the mirror and think ,”What happened?” I enjoy your blog even if I am old. LOL

I don’t mind sharing…I’m 37 but the only giveaway is the gray hair that is starting to become more pronounced against my dark brown. But other than that, I look about 27 – so I love that! I am expecting baby #3. Thought I was done 6 years ago, but God blessed us again. I am pretty excited about it as are the rest of the family. I am LOVING this blog. I am a traditional, non-conventional mama. I like things done naturally. I have learned a lot about myself in these 37 years and have been blessed to have a partner who agrees and supports the choices I have made as the maker of the home. He works hard out there, I work hard here, and together we have a pretty awesome little family.
Okay, did I share too much? ;)

Proud to be 36! I figure getting older is better than the alternative!

36 years 11 months and 1 day old. 37 on March 19. Five children keep me so busy, I still think I’m in my 20′s (in my head, but certainly not in my body!)

I am 45 years old. Though it is only a number.
Some days I feel much older, but for the most, I feel much younger. I feel if you keep active and keep you mind going, you will feel younger than your real age. And also, I love love coffee! I think thats what might keep my mind going!LOL. I also love your blog. You do keep me laughing. Keep on blogging.

I was thinking I should wait until next Sunday to answer this question because it would be so much easier. I would be 38 and a half on the dot… but then I’d be late in answering the question. So, suffice it to say that today I am one week shy of 38 and a half… and I am shocked every time I walk past a mirror because I don’t feel nearly that old unless I’m looking myself in the eye. My 6yo recently told me that he loved me because I was nice, cool, and cooked really good food – so I guess I shouldn’t worry too much. I mean if a 6yo thinks I’m cool, it can’t be too bad, right?!

I’m 52 but look younger, yea!!! The box of hair color I buy probably helps. I don’t mind telling you my age but you are wise to NEVER ask my weight!!! I have 6 children, 2 son-in-laws and 3 granddaughters. I just found your web-site 2 weeks ago. I love it. You’re so funny!
[Reply]
I will be 50 this year, so still got to check off the 40′s box! But I don’t mind getting older. And if you look at my hair, you might guess I was 35 since I got really good genes and it is still dark brown. But if you look at my hands, which have washed thousands of dishes and changed (and rinsed) thousands of cloth diapers, you might guess 65!

I’m 48 – and don’t feel any older than I did when I met my husband 30 years ago. But I am more tired! We have 2 boys – 16 and 11. I love reading your blog – humor and practicality combined, just what I need most days! Thanks for what you do!

I’m 34 (and 16 days to be exact), mom of 4. Actually, part of what drew me to your blog was your family – you seem to be about in the same “stage” of life as our family, my 4 are about the same ages as yours, so your comments just seem so real to me.

I’m 28, but will be 29 in June. Mom of 4 kids, ages 9,6,3, and 2.

I am 41 years young (8 months and 10 days) and still feel like I could be in my 20s. Age is but a number to me. My birthday is 06/11/68. I have 3 children: 12yo boy, 10yo boy, 8.5yo girl. My husband is 26 days younger than I am and never lets me forget it — ha! Oh and our loveable mutt is also 8. Yes, that would mean that we got him when I was 8 months pregnant for my daughter. He slept on my lap the whole ride home when we picked him up and has been my dog ever since.

I’m 34 1/2.I’m a mom of (4) 8yo boy, 6yo boy and 3 1/2yo twins(B & G). Like others I don’t feel as old as I am, ppl are usually shocked when I tell them I have 4 kids.

I just barely made it into the 30-39 bracket. I turn 40 in June. I have a wonderful husband the same age and two girls,(13&5)and one boy(7). It’s funny how 40 seems so old when you’re a child. I still feel young and think I should be much wiser by now.

I’m 27, but I’ll be turning 28 on March 21. :)

I just turned 30…last summer. But I’m pretty sure the age divisions should be:
21-30
and
31-40
You know, just to hold onto that last decade a little longer.

I’m still getting used to checking the new age category. I turned 30 in December, but the kids in youth group can’t believe I’m that old….so I guess that’s a good thing. :-)
