Question #22

By Laura · Nov,15 2008

Remember how I told you I had BIG plans for Saturday?!  That’s TODAY!!  (Unless you’re reading this tomorrow…then it will have been yesterday.  Anyway…)

Each year, my friend Cheryl here in town CHARTERS a BUS and invites how ever many ladies will fit on the bus on a BIG organized shopping day in Lincoln!  It’s the coolest thing.  It’s a great chance for moms to get out without their kids so that they can do some Christmas shopping.   Each of us pay $13 to do this…which is less than what I’d pay to drive myself to Lincoln, and all over Lincoln, and back.

AND…have you ever been on a  BIG bus with over 50 other women?  Yes well…it’s the most hilarious thing I’ve ever experienced.   We have a schedule of places we’ll stop and when we have to get back on the bus…and we all have dinner together…and go shopping some more.

But the best part is that all the way to Lincoln and between all the stores and malls and all the way home from Lincoln…Cheryl has us all laughing so hard we could wet our pants.  (that’s a lovely phrase, isn’t it?)  She is the funniest person I’ve ever been around.  She should SO have a blog.

While I’m not really planning on buying very much on this shopping trip (I’m just going for the FUN and any really good bargains I can find!)…there is something I’ve really been needing and am planning to buy while I’m out.

Any guesses on what it is?

Also…what would you be buying or looking for if you went on this trip?

Umm, a sweater to keep your thin bones warm this winter? I can’t even think of anything you’ve hinted at lately. If I went on this trip, I’d hope to be buying lunch at Granite City, or La Paz, or Tico’s, or . . . OK, I just really like to eat out in Lincoln. Have fun!

What a GREAT idea! I love it, and may have to think about stealing it sometime. Hmm, a trip to KC or OKC…to shop and talk and eat and drink. OOh, it sounds so fun!

Hmmm I would guess a Venti Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks! :) That’s what I would be needing. Okay, maybe some shoes. Although some of the other suggestions sound good too. Hope you have fun!

That would be a blast to go on a ladies shopping trip! :D I would just enjoy doing it and shop for CHRISTmas presents for others.

And in the previous posting I meant to say chance instead of change…but maybe just maybe change works too!!!

  10. Oooooh, shopping… with a bunch of other women… sounds dangerous… and FUN!! I would definitely keep my eyes peeled for more chic vintage goodies (I never have enough, you know) and new shoes (and maybe a new shoe rack to keep them all in, as the old one is overflowing). Hope you have a blast!

Check out my blog- you just won The Marie Antoinette Real Person Award. :o)

    Maternity clothes?

  13. Yeah, that does sound like some sort of hint towards something else, but I’d guess that you probably have a good supply of pregnancy/baby stuff already. Hmm. Maybe something super snazzy for your kitchen?

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect changing table, but Friday someone kindly saw my WTB post on Craigslist and GAVE me a NICE, NEW Changing table! I feel so blessed. So now I’m looking for some special baskets to go in it to hold baby things–and a rocking chair. :)
