My hair is funky these days too. Still a little too long, but the layering is all wrong. I can’t french braid my hair right now, either.

I french braided niece’s hair, and then put a tiny straight braid in my own hair. She thought it was really cool to have matching braids in our hair. She’s three, and has hair to the middle of her back. (sigh.)

This was quite funny to me as I have had many haircuts that really were shorter than I wanted with many layers. I too have resorted to stubby pony tails and odd french braids. (-:

Very light tan slacks, very dark blue underwear… oh well, the underwear showing through matched my shirt at least!

Boy do I feel your pain. This kind of thing has happened to me so many times. Why don’t our husbands tell us these things?

Hmmm, maybe if you’d put the pin in your hair with the raisin still stuck to it, it would have stuck better!

I need to check myself before I go anywhere, because I have usually some kind of stain. LOL! :D

Wow, I wish I could french braid my hair. I have to grow it out a little bit though as I cut it short to try to get rid of the color. I’m not dyeing it but just natural brown with some natural grays here and there. LOL!

I understand your “horror” completely. Moms can pull some amazing things off. I went to have my haircut in January and the lady gave me a “bald spot” kinda so I ended with an almost pixie cut. Now it is to my Jaw and I am thrilled it is growing but horrified with the way it looks in this “stage” of growing. Yesterday I went out with a chocolate pudding hand print on the back of my shirt (from afternoon snack) without realizing it until I walked in front of a store window and caught a glimpse of it. LOL. Hope today is great!

I just went and looked at the pics of your haircut. Too cute! You really are a very talented woman! I cut my husbands hair, well I buzz it for him. Nothing fancy. I also trim my 4 year old daughter’s hair. My 2 year old daughter has beautiful ringlets and it has never been cut. My baby boy is only 2 months old. I have no idea when you are supposed to start cutting a little boys hair. I will probably cut his the same way I cut his daddy’s, but I figure it will be a while before I do that. As for my hair, I usually have it cut 2 times a year. I am just like you were when you started cutting your own hair-I have no time to go with a 4 year old, 2 year old and 2 month old! I usually go to our local vo-tech and let the students cut my hair. It only cost me 5 dollars! I have never had a bad haircut from them, either! They spend a lot of time and really try to get it right because they are getiing graded on it!

I LOVE little pony tail stubs! And I’m impressed you can french braid your own hair. My arms always feel like they’re gonna fall off when I finish…and then it’s usually lopsided! Oh well!

I’ve done the same kind of stuff…. so I know there’s a great deal of this story that is TRUE!
I got to church once and looked down to find flour-hand-prints on my skirt—that wouldn’t dust off!

Wish U could teach me to french braid though :-) I got (just) one girl with hair past her waist and I can’t french braid!
