I seriously love looking at your menu plans for the week. It gives me inspiration. :) Your freezer is jam packed! Wowzers! Oh...and I received my Nutrimill today! So, anytime you feel like talking more about grinding your own grains, I'd sure appreciate it!

Can't wait to get down in that warmer weather! Your freezer looks great, a lot of work but pays off in the end.

I made your salmon patties last week. They were a hit. Wasn't sure about draining off the oil, yes or no? I drained some and they seemed a little dry. Thanks!

74 degrees!!!?? Isn't that a heat wave up there? Or, maybe you were just being sarcastic? I think I'd go to the park too on a day like that!

Your menu looks great this week! I love me a good BLT, too! I have found a better bacon-no antibiotics or nitrites. It's from Applegate Farms-it is called Sunday Bacon. It is a better bet for me when I just have to have some bacon! And, who among us can resist a BLT with thick slices of home grown tomatoes fresh-off-the-vine? Yum!

Melonie...the gold stuff in my freezer is chicken broth from a chicken I cooked last week!

Rebecca...I spend $500-$550 each month on groceries for our family of six. You can read more of the breakdown here:

http://heavenlyhomemakers.com/feeding-the-family-breaking-down-our-2009-food-budget

When I buy meat, I divide the cost of it up over the 12 months for the year since I usually buy a lot at once.
