That all looks just wonderful! I would happily come help you if I could!

Your season is a bit ahead of mine, but I anticipate my tomatoes will start to be ripe and ready for canning in just a couple weeks. They're getting so close! I even noticed my first couple of little peppers today, though they have a looong ways to go.

I have a secret little apple orchard in a large, country park (more like a conservation area). It used to belong to a farm, but now it's part of the park, in a remote, hidden away area. There are about 5 apple trees, of different, unknown varieties. A friend and I went last year and came home with bags, and this year we're planning to go a little earlier and bring a big ladder. So much fun! I'll definitely be making a ton of applesauce and dried apple rings!

Oh, I want the apples for my crock pot Apple Butter. My MIL loves pears, I am not so fond of them.

I would take anything you would give me. Yummy, God makes so many good things for us!

OH, you just reminded me to call our ADOPTED kids grandparents (where we rented while we built our house). They have a HUGE apple orchard that NO ONE picks but me and my friends, all organic, NEVER sprayed... OH, how I morned when we ate our last can of apple sauce this past spring.... MUST CALL NOW!
Good luck canning all of that! I have about 18 qts of green beans I picked today to can, and some tomatoes to dice and can....
Like you I was in the garden picking and said
"THANKS SO MUCH GOD FOR SUCH A GREAT GARDEN THIS SUMMER, WHAT A BLESSING!!"

The fruit looks great. I wish pears grew better in my area. I love fresh pears. My mom always canned a lot of them when I was growing up.

We don't have any fruit trees, but at the farmers' market, there's a guy that comes in from Fredericksburg each week with peaches. Fredericksburg is known around the state for the amazing peaches that are grown there. And. they. are. really. amazing!!!

A few weeks ago, John the Peach Guy (which is what we now call him!) saw me coming and pulled out a huge box of peaches. He asked me if I was still canning and freezing (I was ... am), and told me I could have the whole box for $10, plus two little baskets of pretty peaches. The box was filled with slightly (and very) bruised fruit he couldn't sell.

I was in HEAVEN!! I got over 1/2 a bushel of the best tasting peaches I've ever had for $10!! I made and froze several cobblers, and canned peaches and peach butter. Mmmm ...

But now I'm jealous of the neighbor that you and your family so kindly helped. I wish we grew that stuff around here! :) Congrats on the windfall, and I can't wait to see how you do all the canning. I love reading stuff like that.

I would LOVE to come over and help!:) Unfortunately, you're a bit too far away for my gas budget.:)

Looks like you had a wonderful time and your produce looks delicious. Oh, BTW, your boys are just the cutest.:)
