We LOVE it. Our house is OLD and drafty and big...it's very hard to keep it warm. The insert has helped a ton...although mostly in the living room area. It doesn't keep the whole house warm. Matt puts in a lot of hours chopping wood and the boys spend a lot of time bringing up more wood to the house. It has cut our heating costs by quite a bit...our next step is blowing in insulation...which will be a HUGE help in cost cutting and keeping our house much warmer. I can't wait!! Oh, and by the way...normally inserts like the one we got are around $3500 or so. We got this one used (2 years old and barely used) for $500 from someone who couldn't use it because of allergies.
