Host a Valentine Mystery Dinner

By Laura · Jan,23 2008

Invite your friends over and serve them dinner…only don’t tell them what’s on the menu!   (By the way, for this mystery dinner, you’ll be serving spaghetti, bread, salad and dessert…shh!)

They will sit down to your table and see a menu like this:

Then, they mark on the menu what they would like for course number one, course number two and course number three (four items for each course)

Let’s say for course number one, they have marked Cupid’s Arrow, Melt my Heart, My Sweetheart and Tugs on my Heartstrings.  You will serve them a toothpick, some butter, dessert and spaghetti noodles.  Hey, it’s what they asked for!

The hard part of planning a valentine mystery dinner has been done for you!  Everything you need to know to host a mystery dinner, including the fancy menu for your guests can be found at here.

So, download everything you need, get on the phone and invite your friends, and have a blast!

(P.S.  It’s all free!  Well, the information and menus are free.  You’ll have to buy your own spaghetti.)

This looks like a lot of fun. I definitely may have to try it… or adapt it for St. Patrick’s day and try it. Thanks!!

This is a great idea!! The ladies bible class hosted a young mothers night out and this is the type of thing that they did. It was a lot of fun! You would need a seperate dining area from the kitchen(which I don’t) in order to pull it off.

  3. What a cute idea–my kids would love something creative. I might even get them to eat Brussel sprouts if I call them “cannon balls of love.”

Would you mind sending me the rest of the menu answers? Have you ever done one for a graduation party? I am hosting a homeschool get together for the graduates in March and would love to do this. It takes me so long to figure out a coded menu. You sound pretty gifted at that. Thanks for your time.
