I’ve actually never lived in TX, I was just giving that state as an example of being different in climate than Nebraska where I live. :)

I’m glad to know about Home Depot’s Gardening Club.
Also for those who might just have a question now and then, another source of info is the University Extenion Office. Ours, in Boone County (Belvidere, northern IL)has Master Gardeners, on site or available, who can answer questions.

I’m Californian but have been in Texas more than 10 years now. Gardening is a challenge here, for sure!

We just moved from the Middle East to Reno NV what a change. We’ve just planted our first garden in over 4 years and it is really exciting.

Thanks for the tip on the Home Depot Garden Club I signed up to learn about planting in our area.

Hey, Laura,
I belonged to this club a year or so back. I’ve since gone
back and registered again as I have more time to put towards
my gardening.

I think it would be fun to find out where some of your other
faithful readers are as far as gardening regions around the
country or outside the U.S.A. for that matter.

I am located in West Texas. That makes us Southwestern Desert.
What do you think?
