Green, American Style Book Review and Giveaway

By Laura · Apr,23 2010

You know I love learning anything I can about living a green lifestyle.  While my husband and I don’t do everything perfectly green…we sure try to do our best with the earth and bodies God gave us to take care of.

Recently I was sent a book by Anna Clark called Green, American Style.  I found the book helpful and well written.  Anna is the mother of two pre-schoolers and writes in a way we can all relate.

The book is filled with information and tips on living a green lifestyle.  I love that conserving energy and cutting down on waste almost always means that you are simplifying your life and saving money too!

Anna writes an entire chapter for beginners…a guide to starting a green lifestyle with a detailed list of “50 ways to save money and make a difference”.  I love that she gives such simple, practical advice!

Another of my favorite parts of the book is a chapter on “Green Games Your Kids will Love”.  Doesn’t that sound like fun?!  She offers all kinds of fun ideas for including your children in learning about being green.

No matter where you are in your “green journey”, there’s something for you to learn in Green, American Style.  From novice to expert…we can ALL do something to improve on how we are taking care of the earth!

In celebration of Earth Day, I have been given a copy of Green, American Style to give away to one of you!  Interested in winning?

Leave a separate comment for each entry!  I’ll draw a random winner on Monday, April 26!

This giveaway is now closed!  Thanks!

I’d like to win the book so i can learn better ways. The only “green” tip I disagree with that seems to pop up on just about any book or article is use cfls instead of incandescent light bulbs. CFL’s contain mercury and are not an option for us.
