Giveaway: Blog Design or Make-Over by Delight Design!

First and foremost, let me just say that without my friend Char from Delight Design, there is no way in the world I could have ever started this website!!! Ever. Never.
The girl knows stuff. She is incredibly talented.
Char set me up with my website and in the past 2 1/2 years has taught me an enormous amount about how to maintain it. I do a large portion of it on my own now…and YET…there are still all kinds of times that I have to call her real quick and say something like, “Help! I messed up the code somewhere and all my widgets are all over my kitchen floor!” or something like that.
And then she looks at my code and sees what I’ve done wrong…and she fixes it. And she’s so calm. And she’s so patient. And she still seems to love me even though at times I must drive her crazy.
SO many times I’ve asked, “What do people do when they’re trying to run a website without a Char?” Everyone needs a Char. Someone who knows about design and set up and running a site well.
I’m not the only one she has helped set up and maintain a website (check out Jennifer’s blog!). She’s running a whole business around it. And guess what? She can help you too. (See look how nice I am? I’m willing to share my Char with you.)
Today, she’s is offering to give away a custom blog design or make-over free to one of you! If you’ve been thinking about starting a blog…or if you already have one and it needs a face-lift…you are going to want to enter this giveaway!!!

You understood when I said custom design that Char will bend over backwards to make your blog look just like you want it, right? You can see samples of her work here, but don’t think that these are your only options. You want cutesy? She can do that. You want classy? She can do that. You want crazy? She can do that too. You name it, she’ll work on it for you.

Just had to second how absolutely wonderful Char is! I’ve never met her; I actually found out about her on your blog and Teresa’s Nanahood blog… and then I contacted her about a blog makeover… because even though I’ve never met you or Teresa, I think we’d all get along grand… and now, after “meeting” Char on-line, I think the same about her! I can’t say enough wonderful things about her and how she took my vision for my blog and made it a reality! And like you said, Laura, she’s so calm and “Ok, I can do that!” Whoever wins this blog makeover will truly be one lucky blogger! If you want to get another peek at what she can do, check out my blog: http://mcquill-land.blogspot.com/2010/03/gratituesday-blog-blog-designer-and.html. I’m so proud of Char’s work! :D

Oh, I have been thinking about creating a blog to share my new puppet creations that I am selling on etsy. I wanted to also do little music videos using my puppets and my son. I have these ideas and do not know where to start with a blog and am a bit intimidated. To have a free set up would be a great kick in the pants and a great encouragement. Thanks for the give away.

My blog is about daily life with my daughter Madison who is in a Spica Cast (full body cast) for developmental hip dysplasia. I have kept a blog for a long time and I originally used it to track my pregnancy. When Madison got diagnosed with DDH, I started using it as an outlet and now it has become a resource for other families going through treatment for DDH. I have actually had people tell me their doctor found my blog and referred them to it for support. It has really snowballed into something incredible for me.

My blog, http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com/, is a geeky approach to homemaking. I found I have a passion for “geeky” things, like pseudo-scientific product testing, PBS shows, iPod app reviews. My plan is to add a page in which to blog about my husband’s cancer. He has multiple myeloma, a rare blood / bone cancer. God has given me a passion to reach out to the newly diagnosed because the occurrence rate of this disease is growing in the 30-40 year old population, and most of the internet information is outdated and very scary. (I blog on blogspot, by the way).

My blog is new. It doesn’t have much of an identity yet. I have mostly blogged about my home tot-schooling of my 2.5 year old daughter. I would like to blog about God’s blessings for our family, getting outdoors and exploring nature, activities I do with my 2.5 year old daughter, and green living/crafts.

I need a fitness-specific makeover for one of my blogs. Danke :D

We started our blog when I was in the hospital for two months last year awaiting the birth of our twins so we could keep everyone updated. We now have a happy and healthy little boy at home and a precious little girl who is with Jesus. I’ve been waiting until I had a more appealing and desirable blog design to update more frequently – the blahness of it keeps me from really getting into it. But it is meant to be a combination of information on frugal living here in KY and encouragement for mothers who have wee ones at home and who may have lost a precious child.
