Getting Fit With Jen – A Giveaway and a Discount!

Are you ready to get into shape?

I can’t tell you how good I feel now that Jen, from Getting Fit With Jen, has me on a regular, customized-just-for-me, workout routine. She has figured out just what I need as a 39 year old mom – working around my busy schedule, working around my low back and injured knee issues, and even more importantly – she has taught me how to love exercise! This is most shocking. A year ago, I would have told you that I hated to exercise. Now? I love it so much that when we have to take several days off, I miss it and crave it. 

Getting into shape has strengthened my lungs (blasted asthma) and really improved my immune system. I feel stronger and more energetic than ever. I mean, I thought I had energy before. Now that I’m exercising regularly? Look out boys! Mom can keep up with you now! (Well, mostly. After all – I’m not a 10 year old boy with limitless energy…)

Have I been sore? Have I had to work hard? Have I had to push myself? Have there been frustrations? Yes to all of the above. My ice pack and I have become very close friends. (Ice is a miracle worker, by the way. Cheapest, most awesome pain reliever ever. When in doubt – ice. Yes, Jen has taught me that too.)  But it has all been worth it and I am so thankful for the progress I’ve made during the last nine months.

    I have gained a ton of weight that all started with foot surgery (that prevented me from exercising for a year or so). I am mostly healed now, but I can’t seem to get started exercising again.     I don’t have Facebook, but I’m hoping I can still enter this way.
    I have lost a father and brother to heart attacks before the age of 55. I understand the importance of good nutrition, but have been told by my dr. That exercise is key–but I’ve always hated it and frankly don’t have a clue where to start.
    I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure so the need to get started and do something is even more pressing.

    I am in the process of looking into some serious medications for weight loss but am scared to death to take anything for fear that it may hurt me more than help me. I’ve been obese for 20 years.     Wow, this is a life-saving giveaway! I really understand that after this past weekend. I’ll be 53 years old in two months (and I’m 100+ lbs overweight) and this last weekend I went to a farmer’s pumpkin patch with my niece and nephew and I got a cold splash of the reality that my sedentary (11+ hours a day) desk job has caused…I couldn’t walk 1/4 mile without being exhausted, after about 20 minutes of intermittent walking I was limping, winded, and my legs and back hurt so much that I was miserable the rest of the day. I NEED to improve my health before it’s too late, so seeing this giveaway this morning really helped confirm that I need help with exercise!

    I would LOVE this! I use to personal train about 7 years ago and I myself was in great shape I had two children already and then my 3rd pregnancy I had to have surgery during the pregnancy and then was on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy and had to have a c section I did get back in to shape after that but not as good as I was before I had her and my abs are so weak after two surgeries and then 4 years later the 4th one came along and I had to have another c section!     Oh Laura! I am dealing with weight problems for the last year. The weight up and down even though I exercise and eat a healthy diet. I know my metabolism is slower than before and I need more activity.

    I know that my value as a person comes from the Lord, but having excess weight makes me feel “depressed”. I get motivated to do exercise, but then I loose the motivation and this makes me feel worse. I know you understand me! This is a great opportunity.
