I am excited to see that today through August 29, Vitacost is offering free shipping on all grocery orders over $25! Plus, if you are a new customer with Vitacost and you first sign up through this referral link, you will receive an email with a $10 credit code which you can use to make your purchase.
Therefore, if you put $35 worth of groceries into your cart, then apply your $10 credit, with the free shipping, you’ll be getting a lot of bang for your buck!
If you’re already a Vitacost customer, the Free Shipping for grocery orders over $25 is still a great deal. Recently, I’ve been watching for and taking advantage of Vitacost’s sales to have some of our favorite foods and ingredients on hand this fall. I love Vitacost’s reasonable prices, and I’m so thankful for online buying options like this since so many of these products aren’t available to me in our small town. :)

Thank you for this post! On a day where I am out of honey, low on coconut oil, and wanting to try a new soap (which I see Vitacost has on sale for less than $1 a bar!) I am so putting in my order after the kids are in bed tonight :)
Laura says
Ooh, I’m curious which soap you are getting? :)
Lyndsay says
Kirk’s Castile soap- made from coconut oil. I have used good old Ivory for us forever, but decided to give this a try since it is all natural and supposed to be great for sensitive skin!
MaryEllen@ImperfectHomemaker says
Lyndsay, I’ve bought the Kirk’s Castile soap and used it in place of Fels Naphtha soap in the homemade detergent recipes you see online. It works great for doing laundry, and is so cheap, and it has no chemicals in it like the Fels Naphtha does!
Lyndsay says
Mary Ellen- that is part of the reason I am getting it. I make my own detergent with Ivory, but would really like to switch to something more natural. Unfortunately, me and my youngest son have really sensitive skin and our eczema gets out of hand with most soaps. Also make my own liquid hand soap out of the bars- hoping that it will work for that too :)

Is there a code for the free shipping, or should it happen automatically? I put $38 worth of groceries into my cart, but the lowest shipping it’s giving me is 4.99.
Laura says
With $38 in your cart, it should be free shipping automatically. The only thing I can think of that might be throwing it off is that it says “free shipping with your $25 food purchase” so if you have other items in your cart that aren’t “food”, maybe that doesn’t qualify? Otherwise, you may need to contact Vitacost to see what’s going on.
Frieda says
The $25.00 order with free shipping must be Vitacost brand food items.
Otherwise, it is free shipping on orders over $49.00.
Laura says
No actually, this time it doesn’t just have to be on Vitacost brand items. They are running a special through the 30th for free shipping on ALL food items over $25. I just tested it and if my cart has at least $25 in food items, shipping is free. When I took out some of the food and replaced it with vitamins, they charged me shipping. So I believe that is the issue – it must be $25 of food to receive the free shipping. :)
Frieda says
Thanks! I was having problems and it wasn’t clear on the Vitacost
website. Now I can finish my order.
Heather C says
Ah, I guess that the Vitacost Coconut Oil didn’t count as food – I guess they categorize it as a supplement. So I changed my order a little, and now I got free shipping. Thanks for your help!!!
Laura says
Wow, I never would have thought that they wouldn’t count coconut oil as food. :)

Thank you Laura. I was able to get some organic peanut butter for a nice price. I also got organic carob I’ve been wanting to try and am unable to buy locally. I appreciate the heads up and especially the $10.00 off coupon. We eat only organic food. I shop at Whole Foods Market, Sunflower Market and Azure. It so nice having a fourth option available. Would you mind telling me what products you like buying from VitaCost? I know you also shop at Azure. The peanut butter was much less expensive at VitaCost. :)
Thank you for the wonderful service you provide me. I sincerely appreciate you.
Laura says
It’s hard to give you a specific list of what I order from Vitacost – it really just depends on sale prices between Azure and Vitacost. I have gotten a great deal recently on Larabars at Vitacost!

I really enjoyed your blog today, it is easy sometime to have a pity part, we forget about all our blessings.

If you’ve never bought food from vitacost and you are reconstructing your pantry to have healthier more natural alternatives, what whould you buy from Vitacost today? I know this is the last day for free shipping.
Laura says
Shoot, so sorry I didn’t get this answered yesterday. :( Um…that’s a tricky question because it would really depend on what is on sale at the time. I’d probably start by looking at the honey, brown rice, Larabars, and baking supplies.

Hi Laura,
I’ve been enjoying your blog for some time now. Thanks for all the fun information and encouragement!
I’m trying to do an order today with Vitacost, but did not receive the $10 credit. I called customer service, and they told me it was only for the referral program, and that I would get it only after the person I referred made an order. I don’t know if this is the information you’ve been given, but I just thought I’d let you know. I’ll probably still place an order since the prices are so good, but we’ll see (esp. as the main item I wanted was coconut oil!)
God bless,
Ann
Laura says
Hm, no you should receive $10 credit just for signing up through my link. They should email you a code once you sign up.
Then later, if you refer others and they make a purchase, then you can earn $10 when they make a purchase, but that is different from the initial $10 you should receive.
K Ann Guinn says
Thanks. The person I spoke to must have been misinformed. I’ll probably try again, but now maybe I’ll wait for another sale. The prices did look good, though. I appreciate all your work for this blog.
