Find Your Funky Kitchen (and other great sales)
ByThere’s something that happens to me every year right after Christmas is over. I feel the BIG need to CLEAN.
I made it exactly two days after Christmas this year before I began cleaning out toy boxes and shelves and closets…filling trash bag after trash bag of stuff to either give away or throw away.
WHERE do we get all this stuff anyway? And why is half of it broken? And why is the other half of it under the couch where we can’t find it? And why is there so much dirt and popcorn and brown apple cores hanging out with the stuff under the game room couch? And why are so many of these toys not being used anymore? And why are there so many cords tangled up near the videos? And why AM I THE ONLY ONE CLEANING UP THIS MESS THAT I DIDN’T MAKE?!?!? BOYS?!
Which (calmly) leads me to the New Year Sale. Just in case you’re also feeling the need to clean. And just in case you’d like some help encouraging your children…well…in any area of their lives that need some Christ-like encouragement.
Now through January 8:
- Do the Funky Kitchen ebook is on sale for $2.75 (to help you organize and clean your kitchen, and make it funky…aka…functional).
- All of the Kids Character Charts are on sale for $1.75 (to help you as you work with your kids in the areas they need encouragement and training).
- Fill ‘em Up! ebook is on sale for $3.00 (to inspire you to get your kids in the kitchen with you AND study God’s word with them at the same time).
I just pulled out MY OWN copy of Do the Funky Kitchen and followed all the steps. I now have a clean fridge, my pantry is re-organized and wow, even the top of my refrigerator is CLEAN! I now know where all of my measuring cups are and my jars all have a home. It’s a happy day.
Take advantage of this New Year Sale!
It lasts until Friday, January 8!

I have that feeling too. It’s almost an overwhelming feeling that I need to purge Or I will be drowning in “stuff”.
The day after Christmas was like a department store blew up in our living room. Toys we gave the kids, both sets of grandparents gave gifts, god-parents gave gifts. Gifts to hubby from me, from his mom, from my mom, from his secret angel. You get the picture.
Then the food gifts piled on the counter from very talented cooks that love to make yummies for us.
I actually look forward (though I am very grateful for all the gifts…:) to spiritual bouquets given in a card.

I got your Funky Kitchen ebook and I’m going to read it again and clean my kitchen. I did a few things a few weeks ago, but I need a CLEAN kitchen for 2010!

I too have a huge need to clean and organize – yet I have to ‘undecorate” from Christmas first – a huge task as I decorate a ton with lights and greens everywhere! Beautiful but pine needles galore!
For Christmas all 4 of my boys (dh included) got a memo pad that reads “the best way to keep boys out of hot water is to put dishes in it!” Do you think they will do more dishes now?! :-) Of course that does not speak to the toy room and bedroom.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I just cleaned out all of my kitchen cabinets a few days ago. I had received a number of new kitchen pans and needed to do some “weeding”. It felt so good to have a clean kitchen!

Hi Laura: I agree about needing to organize and get everything in tip top shape. I think it has to do with sweeping out the old year and bringing in the new year all clean and fresh. I started yesterday and still have a lot more to do. Happy New Year!

I’ve realized that I’m actually blessed to have a small kitchen. I have no choice but to keep things simple and organized. p.s.-I live alone, so my closet-sized kitchen works just peachy for me ;)
