Children’s Book Giveaway from Julie Cantrell!

By Laura · Nov,16 2009

I love books for my kids that have a Spiritual emphasis.  I love books for my kids that have real photos as illustrations.  I love books that are simply written and easy to understand.  I love books that make a good point and create good discussion with my kids when we’re finished reading!

A few weeks ago the folks at Zonderkids sent me two of Julie Cantrell’s children’s books to review.

GodDayGod is with Me through the Day

GodNightGod is with Me through the Night

All four of my boys loved “helping me review” these books.  (Even my twelve year old!)  The photos in these books are so much fun!  All of the photos are animals.  What kid doesn’t love a picture of a tiger family “snuggling” or a pair of dolphins “laughing”?

The books sparked a great discussion about how God takes care of us no matter where we are and no matter what we’re doing.

And then we had to read the books again.

And again.

Want a chance to win one of these books so that you can read them again and again?  Leave a comment letting me know which of these you think would benefit your family the most!

I’ll draw two random winners (one for each book) on Tuesday,  November 24.

Get to know the author better by visiting  her blog here.

I truly loves these books and they are on several blogs. I am a Children’s Minister and i would love to give one of these books as a gift to a child that doesn’t have the best as a home life. Either book would be great. Thank You for the chance to win.

Those books look wonderful! I’m sure the night time one would be especially helpful. One of my little ones has a lot of trouble sleeping at night and this might help her!

We’d be happy to have either, though I think the night time one would be most helpful as my three year old is suddenly scared of the dark :(

  17. probably the night. My oldest just said he hates the dark because he’s afraid of it, but we had a good talk about how God gives us the dark as a blessing so we can sleep and He always watches over us. The puppies on the day cover are cute, though, too!! :)

  18. Sherry says:

Both of these sound wonderful. I would probably pick God is with me during the Day if I had too although it would be a hard pick.

  19. Katherine says:

I would choose the “night” book because my little girl is very fearful of the night, and I’ve tried everything I can think of short of letting her sleep in my bed every single night! Maybe this would do the trick?
    Please count me in!

  21. Stephanie says:

Either book would be a great learning book. We want to show our little guy that God is not just there when we pray (what I thought when I was little), but wih us every single moment of everyday day and night.

  22. Becki says:

I think “God is with me through the night would be terrific. I have two little girls who have a hard time falling asleep and then staying in their room the whole night. I think just being reminded that God is there would be very beneficial.

  23. Kimberlee says:

Night times are hard for us. My kids don’t sleep well and they also don’t want to miss anything. Books are part of our bedtime routine and I would love to add (especially the night time book) to our collection. Maybe D would stay in his bed and not get up 20 times because he is scared!

  24. Rebecca says:

We would love the night book for our boy who has trouble with bad dreams…and the day book would be good too for all of us! These books look great!
