I told you that eating chocolate was an activity I participate in regularly. ;)  Here is a great deal on soy free chocolate chips that I am very excited to share with you.

One reader, Julie, emailed to let me know of a great, inexpensive way we can all get the Enjoy Life Soy Free Chocolate Chips I talk about here so often.  I’m so glad she did!  The iHerb website carries many great health food products, so I’ll be searching their site more to learn about the other great items they might have that my family uses.

This morning, I was able to get seven packages of chocolate chips for just $3.33 each, which is an incredible price for these!  Here’s how I did it:

I put seven packages of the Enjoy Life Soy Free Chocolate Chips into my iHerb cart.  I used Julie’s referral code (thanks!) and earned myself $5 off.  Because my order was over $20, I got free shipping.  My total was just $23.35, making the packages just $3.33 each.

Now, I have my own referral code to share with you so that you can also get $5 off!  Enter the code BID487 to receive your discount.  I’ll earn a little bit from your purchase, and so will Julie.  Then, you’ll get a referral code to share with your family and friends.

Ah, the joy of knowing that chocolate chips are en route to my house.  It’s the simple things, you know?  :)

I liked the idea of DrinkBands when our family was sent a package of them to review several weeks ago.  I thought they’d probably be kind of nice.  I figured they’d save a little trouble and several dirty dishes.

But I really didn’t know that I’d love using them this much.  We are a family of six with many extra people at our house on a regular basis.  Over the weekend, we had so many extra boys coming and going during a 72 hour period, I lost track of how many there were and which ones actually lived here.  I just focused on making sure there was plenty of food on the table for each meal – and you better believe I served my plate first so that I’d be sure and get some grub before it was all snatched up.  Hey, when you live in the midst of so many boys and their friends, you’ve got to learn to work the system a little bit!

With all those boys in and out, I could not believe the volume of glasses and cups we went through.  It was beautiful outside, so they’d go out and play, come in and get a drink, then put their cup down in a random spot and forget whose was whose.  Every few hours, my countertops would be full of stray cups that no one was claiming.

The moral of this story:  DrinkBands rock.

You put them on your cup, you remember what color is yours, you keep your cup all day.  It’s awesome.

Thankfully, I did know which glass was mine at the end of every day last weekend because I am smart enough to put the pink DrinkBand on mine.  None of the boys wanted to touch the pink glass.

See, I’ve learned to work the system.  ;)

Receive 15% off DrinkBands Pack of 8 Regular if you use the
coupon code HHMARCH12 now through the end of this month.

My Favorite Lotion Bar for Only $1!

Posted by: Laura | Comments (12)

MadeOn Hard Lotion is one of my favorite, non-toxic skin care products, and has become the only thing I use on my skin, especially during the winter when I typically fight very dry, cracked hands.  I am excited to see that today, the MadeOn Au Chocolate Lotion Bars are on sale for only $1 – or get the larger, family sized Au Chocolate lotion bar for only $3.  This is huge savings and a perfect time to try this lotion.  I prefer the regular MadeOn Lotion Bar better, but the chocolate one is also wonderful, and for this price, you can’t beat it!

While you’re over there, be sure to sign up for a chance to win $35 worth of MadeOn products!

This sale and giveaway ends at midnight tonight, February 14.

Reebok SolarVibe Running Shoe

Posted by: Laura | Comments (5)

You are all cracking me up with all of your emails and requests for me to share what kind of running shoes I got!  I figured none of you would care since all of us have a different variety of feet, otherwise I would have shared the information in the first place.  But hey, if you want to know more about my (fantastic, awesome, super comfortable) shoes, far be it from me to keep you from the details!

The shoes I purchased are Reebok SolarVibe Running Shoes.  I got them in Black/White and I love them.  However, so many of you were smart enough to recommend that I buy a second pair, and Matt and I decided that this was a great idea.  Therefore, today, I purchased the same shoe in Tar/Silver/Blue.  I’m very excited.  And maybe a little bit obsessed.  But whatever.

I believe I found the first pair at Finish Line in the mall.  I found the second pair online.

Keep in mind that all feet are different so what’s comfortable for me may not be comfortable for you.  Nike, Adidas - none of the others were working for me that day.

So there you go.  Reebok SolarVibe Running Shoes.  I love them!
