On the blogging menu for this week: I promise to show you inside my fridge and freezers and continue on with my “Getting Real With Food” series. (In case you need to peek into my pantry again, here you go!) I also plan on talking a bit about my food budget and how we eat real food on a real budget. And…Marie asked me if I could come up with a yummy breakfast bar…and I just couldn’t let her down! I’ll be sharing that recipe this week!
Have a great week…and I hope to see you back here soon. Head on over to Org Junkie to find more menu planning ideas!

Oh, I’m SO lucky - I get to join in and eat from your menu plan later this week!! Now, my question to ponder - how do I spend time with my brother and sister in law, but still make sure I’m back at your house for every meal this coming weekend??
Tell Asa I think his choices were awesome! That pound cake, YUM!! And a boy after my own heart - nachos for supper!

SLOPPY JOES!
THANK YOU!
I forget about sloppy joes!
That quarter of beef we split had it’s share of ground beef, and besides hamburgers, ski pie, and Mexican casserole, I don’t have a lot of things in which we use ground beef. I always forget about sloppy joes, even though the kids really like them. So…. thanks for the reminder!
And… check out Pioneer Woman’s Crash Hot Potatoes from last week. I think you’d love ‘em!

I have been perusing your past posts, and drooling over all your posts about menu plans and healthy foods! We probably have about the same income, but we always seem to live paycheck to paycheck. And I know we eat way too much junk food and prepared foods. I am not an organized person, but you sure do inspire me to work on it.
I would love to have freezers and pantry full of food, and be the super cooking and baking mommy! If I really work on it, I think I can get a lot closer to how you do things. Your posts are so helpful, and make me feel like things are do-able!
Thank you for all the work you do here to help others!
