Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God (a giveaway!)
ByYou know that’s true, don’t you? Do you believe it?
Do you believe that beautiful things can happen when you trust our father God to take care of you?
The Bible promises that it’s true.
Think about the times you haven’t trusted God. The times you’ve been fearful, hesitant, worried, anxious, sad and nervous. Those weren’t such fun times, huh? There’s not a lot of beauty in my life when I choose to be stuck in a state of fear, sadness and worry.
Oh, but the times I let it go. The times I surrender. The times I humble myself. The times I trust.
That is when beautiful things can happen.
That is when God can use me. That is when I see His glory. That is when I know that God’s power is at work in my life.
We know that worrying doesn’t add a single hour to our lives. Why then do we still do it? Letting go and trusting God is such a struggle. I wish it wasn’t.
I recently read Sheila Walsh’s latest book, Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God. Sheila shares her story in which she struggled with deep depression, the intense need to please others…and the beautiful peace she found when she learned to trust God.

The book will speak to your heart. The book will help you learn how to let go of fear and worry…and simply trust the One who is worthy of our trust. The book will help you find the beauty God can create in your life when you trust Him.
I just so happen to have FIVE copies of Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God to share with you! Please leave a comment on this post letting me know you’re interested in winning one of those copies. I’ll draw five random winners on Monday, August 30.
This giveaway is now closed…thanks!

I met up with a friend today for lunch and learned that she is going through a very difficult time in their marriage. Without going into detail I will say he is having a terrible time adjusting to being home after being in Iraq as a prison guard. My friend does not have a church but is open when I talk about God with her. If I would be lucky enough to win I would give this to her.
Thanks for the chance.

Learning to trust God is an everyday lesson. The more you trust Him, the easier it gets. I’ve had to learn the hard way, but I see now how good it feels to simply allow God to handle things instead of trying to do everything yourself. I’m so glad I have a heavenly Father whom I can truly trust!!

Wow! I’m speechless… I just googled, “letting go of fear and trusting God” and this website just popped up… before I googled it, I wrote an entry in my journal and this is what I wrote:
August 2010, I entered this month with heavy feet. I feel terrified awaiting the future with much regret and anticipation for a new hope… my heart aches, my throat knots up and my mind races… I have no control of time; I’ve come to a station of much sedation.
For the first time in my rigid life, I see outside my allowed sight, I see my hell. It can be best described as, the reflection of my biggest fear, seeing my boys in pain and/ or to lose them.
8/28
The end of the day that my oldest son attended school for his second time. I feel ok. I’ve been feeling quite in tune with my body, mind, heart and earth. I feel every slight shift of the earth. And I feel it in my toes and feet. It feels like a burst of energy floating thru your body. Its been happening now for about 4 months ago, you would think I would be use it by now but it frightens me. And because of that I think have also become more in tune with my boys. I fear for them so much. I fear that someone will hurt them and I couldn’t be there to protect them. I fear that something astrological will happen and I couldn’t hold them. I fear that I could die and never see them again.
I hear a stern yet calming voice calling me near. He tells me a storm is coming my way and that I need to reach for him, to hold on to him, and to close my eyes that he will lead me to safety. I seem to sense the danger and asked him how do I start, where do I go from here, show me what you want me to do.
And just like that I was standing by a well, watching from a distance a woman and a man talking. But then I awoke and immediately read John 4
I want to drink thee water and most importantly I want my boys to drink from it too.

Why do we (women) have trouble trusting anyone–men, GOD, ourselves…this would be a great read–that would be a meaningful impact on my life!
