Another Tropical Traditions Giveaway! Organic Coconut Flour!

Guess What?!?  Tropical Traditions is offering another giveaway!

Last time I got to review some of their awesome virgin coconut oil. This time they sent me a package of their organic coconut flour!  I have SO been wanting to experiement with some of their coconut flour!

coconutflour

This coconut flour has been very fun to play with!  I first tried this Cream Cheese Coconut Squares recipe I found on the Tropical Traditions website.  They were pretty good…not super sweet or rich…and we liked them.  I took some over to a friend of mine who can’t have wheat and she was thrilled to have a treat that would not hurt her!  She admitted to eating….a lot of them…all by herself without sharing!

Next I tried my brownie recipe and just substituted coconut flour for the whole wheat flour.  YUM-O!!  These were super good!  I love a little taste of coconut with my chocolate!

What I love most about this coconut flour is that you can easily substitute it in just about ANY muffin, quick bread, cookie or cake recipe.  That makes for a delicious way to avoid gluten or wheat if you have any struggles with these.  Like I mentioned here, I’d really like to feed my family a little less wheat if possible.  Healthy variety is so…healthy!

The coconut flour tastes like coconut, but only subtly.   The flavor is not overpowering.  I’m very pleased about that.

So pleased in fact, I added it to my most favorite Tropical Traditions items list…and ordered more for myself last week since they were running a buy one get one free sale!  This coconut flour is going to be a great addition to our diet!  Thank you Tropical Traditions!

You wanna try some Tropical Traditions Organic Coconut Flour?  They’re offering a free package for one of my readers!  Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win!

I’ll draw a random winner Wednesday, November 11!

I have some favorite coconut recipes for baked goods that I would really like to try substituting the coconut flour for the wheat flour. Not only do I think it would only enhance the taste, but also, help us to find alternatives to wheat and other grains. Thank you for the review!

  29. John says:

Ever since being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and discovering that wheat is one of my worst sources of inflammation, I’ve had to forego just about all baked goods. I have a hard time imagining coconut flour could “hang together” the way gluten flour does. But if it can work, I’d be thrilled to discover the fact. . . .

Thanks for sponsoring this event . . . and for TT for providing the flour!
