And…we’re back!

By Laura · Dec,14 2009

Yikes…my site was down ALL morning.

I always struggle not to have a heart attack when I click on my site and it gives that horrible “FORBIDDEN” message.  Ick.  ‘Cause what if I accidentally clicked something I shouldn’t have and my site is gone forever?!?!?!

You’d think it would just politely say, “We’re so sorry but Laura’s site is down right now.  We’re working on it diligently.  Please take a moment to have a cup of hot cocoa, then come check back later.”

But no…it says, “FORBIDDEN.  How Dare You Try to Visit Heavenly Homemakers!!!!!”  or something like that.

Just so you know…anytime it says that…it is not a personal denial from me.  I always want you to come to Heavenly Homemakers.  Always.

Thanks for your patience…if you did happen to visit this morning and were so sadly FORBIDDEN to enter.

We’re back.  Click around to your heart’s content!

i’m so glad you posted this! i tried to open some of your posts and kept getting that awful “forbidden” message and got so worried! is something wrong with my computer? did i pick up a virus? lol!

    Whew!

I actually thought my job denied access to the site. They are funny about what sites you see. But we get another funny message when we go to sites we can’t access. But hey, there’s always a new message!

    Glad you’re back!

Then don’t worry about pressing the wrong button. Even if you erase the whole thing, it will still be there. :)

I’m glad you’re back! I actually thought it might have been something I did to my computer that wouldnt’ let me through to your site. I was kickin’ myself!

    All better now.

  5. I’m glad you’re not going anywhere! I’ve been poking around your blog the last few days and I’ve gleaned the *best* ideas! I especially appreciate the High 5 recipes. I am *trying* to be more conscientious about feeding my family healthy food. Avoiding the HFCS and hydrogenated oils is hard enough but when you throw in that whole convenience factor, that’s when my plan breaks down. I admit, I’m spoiled by convenience foods. Your recipes are just what I’m looking for! Keep ‘em coming!

    Laura,
You could ask your webmaster to replace the default forbidden page with your “We’re so sorry but Laura’s site is down right now. We’re working on it diligently. Please take a moment to have a cup of hot cocoa, then come check back later.”

The error is a standard web page which can be replaced like any other.

Whew! I was about to start crying for a minute, literally. Pregnant ladies shouldn’t be told that they are “Forbidden”. Emotions are already crazy as it is. ;)
Glad all is back to normal in Heavenly Homemakers land!

Whew! I was at work and tried to click on quickly – I was scared the IT people at work had found out I was looking at something “non-work” related and made it forbidden! I am SO relieved! Of course some others shop from work so I guess what I was doing was not SO bad!
