Affiliate Set-up – Blogger/Blogspot

Below is a quick tutorial on adding banners to your blogger sidebar.  (Scroll to see the tutorial on links and HTML)

1.  Log in to your blogger account, and then click on the DESIGN tab.  Then click on the PAGE ELEMENTS tab (if you aren’t already on that page).

2.  Click on “Add a Gadget” in the location where you want the ad/link.

3.  In the box that pops up, scroll until you find HTML/Javascript.  Click on that option.

4. In the new box that pops up, you will paste your link code and then click Save.

5.  If the gadget is not exactly where you want it, you can drag and drop to the correct location in your sidebar.

6.  Click on the SAVE button to save the page changes, and then view your blog to make sure the link is working correctly.

The above tutorial is for a quick and easy copy/paste of your affiliate code from e-junkie.  But maybe you want to customize the link, or even add a banner instead of a text link?  No problem!

Here is a quick tutorial on HTML (coding language) and changing the text links/adding banners:

TEXT LINKS:

1.  Your text link/code from e-junkie.com should look like this, except instead of X’s in the code, your link will include your Affiliate ID:

2. You can change the TEXT part of this code (“Click here to visit…”) to say whatever you’d like it to say, but just make sure you don’t delete anything else in the code.  For instance, you can change it to look something like this:

<a href=”https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=14683&c=ib&aff=XXXXX” target=”ejejcsingle”>Visit Heavenly Homemakers to buy healthy e-books</a>

3.  You can also change it so that only PART of the text is underlined, like this:

Click to visit <a href=”https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=14683&c=ib&aff=XXXXX” target=”ejejcsingle”>Heavenly Homemakers</a> to buy healthy e-books, downloadable recipe cards and more!

BANNER LINKS:

Banner links are a bit more complicated (but don’t worry – you can do it!).  There are several steps to getting a banner link set up correctly.

1. Follow the steps in the above tutorial for adding a link, and the copy and paste the following into your gadget box:

2.  Replace the X’s with your Affiliate ID, if you haven’t already.

3.  Visit our Affiliate Banners page to see the banners that we currently offer.  Choose which banner you like and then copy the IMAGE CODE next to (or below) the banner of your choice.  Paste this code into the link above where it says IMAGE CODE HERE.  So, it will look something like this:

4.  Save the gadget and save the page changes, and then check the link on your blog.
