A Little Bit of Punctuation Follow-Up

By Laura · Jul,16 2009

Thanks for all of the wonderful punctuation and grammar discussion from this post.  I hope it was helpful to many of you.  I loved hearing what all of you had to say!  Some of you really had me cracking up…what with your dangling participles and run on sentences.  :)

Here are some helpful links I’d like to pass along:

And now…I think I’m going to go through my fabric stash and see about sewing up some lovely cotton pretties.  I’ll let you know how all of that goes.  Doesn’t that just leave us all with one big exclamation mark!!!

(Should we discuss colons next?  Yeah, maybe not.)

Thanks for the follow up, I was wondering about the “t” being available. Very interesting punctuation going on around here.

I actually went and bought some fabric today and I’m going to a friends house to sew some. My hubby thinks I’m wierd, but he’s supportive. He called us “blood sisters.” I about peed my pants. :) Thanks for the info.

Colons? Laura, do you mean colons like the punctuation ones or the ones in your body?
Seriously. Next post? Hmm….how about some of your fav. recipes? Or maybe a desserts-I-like-that-are-healthy blog update. I really enjoy checking your blog. Your flower-frosted cupcakes were sure cute!

  6. I came across this today. It’s a giveaway of a “lady cup.” I am not affiliated at all, but I thought they were pretty (I’m laughing at myself just writing that.) Anyway, maybe one of the ladies who wants to try this will win!

I used some old receivng flannel blankets to make mine…super cheap. You can get these at a thrift store very cheaply.

I recommend making your own pattern using the name brand pad you were accustomed to. That way you won’t be disappointed if it turns out a little lopsided.

I just made 18 today! My hubby just looked at me and walked away. He wanted nothing to do with it. :)

I have switched over to cloth pads myself and have a valuable difference in my own cycle, less cramping was one of those..lighter days. Every so often YES I will use a store bought product insert but its very rarely and because of the switch we have saved money and embarrassing purchases on the hubby and young son. A tip I reccomend is making enough cloth pads for those different days so you dont run out while washing the soiled ones..

I have used cloth pads for over a year now and have noticed significantly less itching and dryness. The funny thing I’ve also noticed is that for 6 or more years my periods were coming every 26 days on the dot. Within 3 months of using just cloth, my periods were shorter AND not as regular. They would be 23 days one month and 27 days the next, and various other numbers inbetween. It was very interesting (and a bit difficult for family planning), but I’ll take irregularity over the dryness and itching any day! I even used cloth post-partum with my last baby. There was a little bit more leakage, but overall I was very satisfied!
